XPALEVSKY draws a majority of its inspiration from the Art Deco and mid-century periods. A lover of 20th century design, Alison Palevsky designed the collection to be reminiscent of the past, though still relevant to today. Many of the pieces are based on iconic forms and modified with a contemporary component. The collection focuses on soft curves, sharp angles and fine detailing.
A long-time admirer of Edward Wormley, Hans Arne Jacobsen, T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings and Finn Juhl, Palevsky meticulously studied the way each designer utilized form and function, which heavily influenced her collection.
